Meet the Snyders

The Snyders: Luke, Rachel, Jason, Olivia, and Annie.

Jason is the founder and Lead Pastor of Fusion Community Church. He was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, however, his family moved to Elida, Ohio when he was in second grade. He found Jesus at church camp at the age of 12 and began getting active with youth group and community organizations to share and show the love of Christ to people.

Jason and Rachel are high school sweethearts and were married in June of 2000. After Rachel graduated from The Ohio State University with her master’s degree in education, they felt God tugging at their hearts to help plant a church inMansfield, Ohio. Quickly after the move in 2003, Rachel began working in the West Holmes Local School District. Jason served at the new church plant as the Children’s and Support Pastor and also worked bivocational until God called him into full-time ministry in 2015. In 2016 he began the process of becoming ordained as a Local Licensed Pastor (LLP) through the United Methodist Church. Jason graduated and completed the Course of Study for LLP’s at MethodistTheological School in Ohio (MTSO) in 2022.

Jason and Rachel have three children: Olivia graduated with honors from West Holmes High School in 2023. She will be attending the University of Cincinnati majoring in Speech Language Hearing Sciences to obtain her doctorate in audiology with a specialization in pediatrics. She was a member of the marching, symphonic, pep, jazz bands; chamber choir; girls soccer, National Honor Society; and performed in four musicals. Luke will be a sophomore at WestHolmes High School. He is a member of the robotics team, bowling team, and track team; marching, concert, pep, and jazz bands; chamber choir, and has performed in two musicals. He also serves in and helps lead The Crossing. Finally, Annie will be a sixth grader at West Holmes Middle School. She is the secretary of her 4H group and is taking a sewing project this year. She loves art and is very creative! She plays violin, twirls baton, sings, plays trombone, and runs track and field in the county youth track program.

The Snyders have a special place in their hearts for the Holmes County community. Their desire is to see them connect with God on a personal level, grow deep in their faith, serve others by developing and utilizing their God-given gifts, and be involved in reaching the community for Christ.
